Our Mission
Permissionless, Decentralized Advertising
The mission of Please Take A Look (PTAL) is to help sustain communities by allowing them to monetize their audience without being beholden to advertising platforms and large advertisers.
We plan to do this by giving communities (publishers) the ability to publish their own advertising policy and guidelines and match them with advertisers who accept those policies and guidelines.
By using blockchain and smart contracts, this process becomes permission-less and any community can become a publisher. At the same time, any advertiser can submit campaign bids for publishers to runs.
Community Driven Development
In recent years, we've seen platforms increasingly exercise their control at the expense of smaller creators and communities. This presents a worrying trend as traffic becomes increasing concentrated with larger platforms. Smaller creators and communities are left without choices when it comes to monetization via advertising.
By allowing publishers and advertisers to declare their own policies, PTAL is taking a community first approach to empower smaller communities to create sources of revenue and become self sustainable.
Crowd Sourced Moderation
Content has become another topic of strife, with increasing polarization on what is deemed acceptable content. Many creators are finding that what was once acceptable may now be controversial. This makes creators less willing to speak up for fear of demonetization.
PTAL proposes a crowd sourced moderation approach, where the PTAL community can act as moderators, similar to how validators work in blockchains. These moderators would ensure that the content adheres to the self declared policies.
Web3 Native Ad Formats
We want to create new advertising formats that can take advantage of native Web3 content, such as NFTs, and display them in a native way that'll appeal to this new audience. By making advertising feels natural and an integrate part of the Web 3 experience, audiences will become more receptive to brands that cater to this new culture and speak their language.
